In 8 days we will climb several unforgettable places of Elbrus, see the fabulous beauty of the mountains, spend 8 nights in a good company and come back full of positive emotions.

Program

You will arrive in Mineralnye Vody, meet our representative, and transfer to the Elbrus region (3-3.5 hours).
Then you will check in to the hotel, discuss the plan with the guide, get personal equipment, and prepare for the exit to Cheget.

Arrival

We will hike from Chegetskaya Polyana (2100 m) to a 3000 m height, then to the Cheget shoulder (3470 m) - the rise takes 1.5-2 hours. The route runs along a rocky ridge. At the top there is a panoramic view of Elbrus and the Main Caucasian Ridge.
The output takes 3-5 hours.

A visit to the sauna complex (optional, not included in the program price). Accommodation at the Moon Hotel.

Cheget

We'll use cable car ride to Gara Bashi II station.
Route: Azau (2200 m) — Old Horizon (3000 m) — Mir (3500 m) — Garabashi (3847 m) — Diesel Hut" (4055 m). The rise will take place on a snowy plateau with non-steep takeoffs (up to 8-10 degrees) lasting 1-1.5 hours up and then descent to the shelter.
You will rest in the alpine hotel LeapRus (3912 m).

Diesel Hut

We will hike to the Pastukhov rocks (4700 m). The rising length is about 3-4.5 hours, and getting down the mountain is 1-1.5 hours.

Climbing 4700m mountain

The rise takes place along the route of the 1B difficulty category. The duration of the rise is
12-16 hours (rise 8-12 hours, getting down the mountain 4-5 hours). We will go out early, at 3 or 4 am. All the hike from the shelter is carried out in crampons.

Climbing Elbrus

Day of rest and acclimatization. If the group is ready, then you can make an attempt to climb.

Rest day

In case of adverse weather, day 6 is considered a reserve day for climbing. But if the weather is fine you can visit Azau and after have some free time.

Visiting Azau

On the return day, you will have breakfast in the hotel and then transfer to the Airport.

Elbrus

Elbrus is the highest mountain range in the Greater Caucasus.

At the same time, it bears the proud title of the highest point in Europe and Russia. The technically easy hike Elbrus makes it possible to see the entire Caucasus from a height and gives an unforgettable impression. Climbing at dawn is especially memorable because of the rising sun and a huge shadow from Elbrus that appears above the horizon in the west.
